On Time Staffing Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business government contracting firm located in outside Misawa AB main gate. We are seeking to hire Infection Preventionist - Registered Nurse to provide services at 35 Medical Group.
The contractor shall provide Infection Preventionist (IP) services in support of the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) at Misawa Air Base, Japan to administer and guide all elements of the MTF’s Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) to include all buildings and geographically separated units (GSU) associated with the MTF. In accordance with (IAW) Air Force Instruction (AFI) 44-108, Infection Prevention and Control Program and in consultation with the AF Surgeon General (SG) IP Consultant and Headquarters (HQ) IP (Air Force Medical Operations Agency (AFMOA)), the contractor shall provide professional IP and technical authority to oversee the MTF’s IPCP. The contractor shall advise senior leadership about program status and any Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) concerns. The IPCP focuses on preventing and controlling infections in patients, staff, visitors and the MTF environment. The IPCP involves all MTF personnel, assigned Air Guard and Reserve personnel, personnel assigned in training and residency programs, vendors, visitors and volunteers.
Travel Requirements. The contractor shall be required to travel in the local MTF area
utilizing their privately owned vehicle to inspect the offsite laundry/linen facility on an annual
basis. The contractor may be accompanied by military enlisted, officer, or civilian assistant
personnel. The contractor may also be required to visit and inspect geographically separated
units (GSUs) and outlying buildings associated with the MTF a minimum of twice per year to
include following locations: Building 96 (Education & Training/Mental Health, Building 1760
(Warehouse), Building 1370 (Veterinary Clinic).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: All the requirements in this paragraph will be reviewed
and approved by 35 MDG personnel during the solicitation and/or replacement process.
Experience. Minimum of one (1) year of current experience in infection prevention and
control or equivalent relevant clinical experience within the last five year. The following
background are considered as “equivalent relevant clinical experience.”:
- Sterile processing
- Public Health
Education. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology or
Microbiology from a nationally recognized accredited college program.
Licensure. Must possess a current, valid and unrestricted registered nursing license as
applicable, in one of the 50 states and/or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto
Rico, or territories of the United States. All licenses must meet all state requirements, be unencumbered and remain in effect during contract employment. The contractor must be in
good standing, and under no restrictions, with the state or national licensure board in any state in
which a license is held or has been held within the last 10 years.
Additional Requirement for applicants who are not a U.S. national. Non-US citizen
applicants and their non-US citizen employees are required to have a valid Japanese working
VISA prior to the first day of this contract. The applicant is responsible for obtaining any
required Japanese working VISAs.
